The next week, she faced an additional match against Lee but was not able to keep her title. Ariana then competed against Lee, who also took home victory at Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational. Also, in July 2014, she was accompanied by Naomi Natalya Eva Marie Rosa Mendes Summer Rae to take on Nikki Bella for a 6-on-1 handicap match. However, she was there only to attack Nikki Bella as well as Naomi. Then, in the Battleground's pre-show she was given a chance to take on Naomi. Ariana won over Naomi during the contest. In the end, this caused their feud. Throughout the summer they fought in several handicap singles and tag team matches.
